About Sheriff's Office
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has 74 full-time and 22 part-time employees. The jail employs 36 full-time and 11 part-time employees. We are responsible for patrolling over 492 square miles and serving approximately 62,260 citizens.
We have a strong focus on achieving and constantly striving to ensure fairness and equality both as an employer and in the law enforcement service we provide to our citizens.
Located at 285 T Kemp Road, Louisburg, NC 27549, the Franklin County Law Enforcement and Detention Complex is at the heart of law enforcement within our county.
From this facility we serve Franklin County citizens 24 hours a day, and we do this in partnership with our county's municipal and private police agencies.
Our joint purpose is not only to combat crime, but to strive daily to drive crime out of Franklin County so that it may continue to be one of the safest places to live, work, raise a family, and operate a business.
Our Core Values
By maintaining a strong presence, projecting a willingness to pursue criminals no matter where they run or hide and by stopping at nothing to ensure this office is the best trained, best equipped and most respected police force in the Country, we deliver a clear message to criminals and those who would do wrong – DON'T!
The most vulnerable in our community - the young, the old, the impoverished, the infirmed are the most likely to be victims of crime. Criminals prey on those that they believe can't or won't fight back. That's were the Franklin Country Sheriff's Office will stand between good and evil because All Lives Matter!
We believe that everyone who works for the Sheriff's Office should be a leader in their area of responsibility. It's important for us to make our values a part of everything we do. We need to make sure that our co-workers, other people in the field, and the communities we serve all have respect for the Sheriff's Office. **Not pictured Detention Admin Avery Wilson**

We will always say what we mean and mean what we say. We will always have the courage to do what is right, even if it's hard. The hard is what makes it great.
Each and every member of the Franklin County Sheriff's department serves our community in many ways, not just as Law Enforcement. We serve in our churches, our schools, our sports teams, area charitable organizations, community events, etc. The people who live in our communities are the most important part of our job. Our motto "To Protect and Serve" is the most important thing we do.
God, Country, Family! We are loyal to the values of our department and our profession and committed to protecting the quality of life in the community we serve.
